I’m back…

Welcome to my new blog.  It’s great to have you on board to join my new little world.

After my last attempt at blogging http://www.casssandraconumdrum.blogspot was more work than it should have been.  But with a new laptop (which enables me to upload pictures faster) blogging should be a lot easier.  Photos do so much for a blog.  Please feel free to visit my old blog for the recipes, projects and other ramblings.  It will remain up for reference.

Now for the new good stuff.  My latest project.  Recently the Crochet Today magazine had a lot to offer in quick projects.  This Natty Neck Ruff really attracted my attention.Natty Neck Ruff picture

It’s perfect for a quick little project.  The ruff was created using a yarn called Bamboo Ewe Stitch Nation by Debbie Stoller  purchased at JoAnn’s Etc. The color is called Twilight which is close to a periwinkle. It called for one skein of yarn.

Well no project comes without some drama right?  Almost finished with the second ruffle and what happens?  NO MORE YARN!  That’s what you get when you don’t check gauge right?  But even though more yarn was definitely needed in my opinion.  So the search for another skein of yarn was made today with no luck.  The JoAnn Etc and Hobby Lobby in Houston didn’t carry this brand.  Phooey!  Oh well!  It’ll be purchased at the JoAnn’s where it was purchased in the first place.

So please stay tuned!  I do hope to have some cool pictures to show you soon.
